Please read entire listing, including shipping section:Due to an unfortunate experience with a dishonest buyer who bought vintage audio from me, left positive response and the comment that the item "worked perfectly"....then damaged the item, claimed "not as described" and was permitted by to return it (in which it was even further damaged due to poor packing), I am deviating from my usual format and stating that I will NO LONGER accept returns on vintage audio. I will also NOT be making statements like "works correctly" or "excellent working condition", even though they may accurately describe my experience the unit, and all my comments are strictly opinions. It's a shame that there are dishonest members on , and that they are enabled by 's terms. This will probably cost me some offers, but I am not willing to put myself in a position of being cheated out of hundreds of dollars again. Enough of that, just wanted buyers to understand why the description is as it is. Now, here's the good stuff: We have here a SONY STR-7065. It's been compared favorably by many reviewers as one of the best receivers of the mid-70's, and I would have to agree with their opinion. Regarding the physical appearance, view the pictures. I think you will agree that a unit of this condition and cleanliness is hard to find. I personally have not seen a nicer one. Judge it for yourself and offer accordingly. I have listened to this in AM, FM, and Phono mode, and been very pleased with the function, performance, and sound. However, I am not an audio technician, just a music lover. I notice that the backlight on the far-left meter (signal strength) is out. That is the one defect that I have observed. I am not claiming that it is the only defect that this unit may have, simply the only one I've observed as I've used it. There may or may not be other defects of which I am not aware or knowledgeable enough to note. I can only say that my experience with the unit over the years has been positive. I'm providing MY OBSERVATIONS, NOT an assessment of the condition, and they may differ from yours. This unit is 40 years old.
