Vintage Zenith Model 5-R-216 Radio 5-R-216W Working (Read Description) For Sale

This is a vintage Zenith 5-R-216 tabletop AM tube radio, the radio powered on and I spun through the spectrum, but did not pick up anything. This is a broadcast band radio. There was a a significant humming along with the audio distortion with the volume turned up. The speaker cone appears okay, the radio is as found, dirty/dusty inside, and will need a good cleaning. Overall, the outside of the radio box is in great shape. It does not appear that anyone tried to refinish it. There is the presence of some scratches, but overall, it is in great shape for being 87 years old. All the controls function. Both knobs look good, but one protrudes out but works. The dial & glass lens look good, the original power cord is there with some minor fraying on the outer mesh in places.
