Vtg 1940s Santa Claus Rubber Face 36" Plush LA BKHAND Mickey Mouse Tag? X Rare For Sale

This sale features a very rare and vintage 36" rubber face Santa Claus plush figure from the late 1940s.

We got this Santa from an estate sale of a 90+ year old lady who sadly passed away last year. This plush resembles the popular rubber face Santa from Rushton but there are differences from the facial expression to the color of the gloves (pink) and branding tag, to the overall size, this one being twice as big.

The tag branding says LA BKHAND MFG Co.  Design in USA and features a Mickey Mouse image (see pics). I dont know if it had an association with Disney since it was made in the companys very early days.

This plush is very rare and very old.  There is some discoloration or yellowing on the white fabric consistent with age and a tear on one of the boot seams (see pics) that the old lady probably tried to fix at some point.

I did all the research I could to try and find more information on this plush but came up empty. Google images are non existent for this doll.
