Woodard was shot downon 07/11/44and was send to Stalag Luft 1. The medal has a oak leaf cluster representing two Air Medals awarded. Medal is officially engraved and comes with the issueblue leatherette case with ribbon bar and rosette with the oak leaf citation that was folded and found in the issue case.His Pilot\'s gold cardwas also in the medal case.
