1957 African American Black Class Large Photos McCosh School Chicago Emmett Till For Sale

These photographs have been in my collection for quite awhile. They are two large (13 x 10-1/2) black and white photographs of two sets of students from McCosh School in Chicago. One class photo is from January 1957 and the other June 1957. Both are in their original photograph mounts (one photograph cover has separated). So many smiling good looking kids. I believe the class photographs belonged to a sister and brother (I could be wrong). One is signed by Robert Taylor from Mrs. M. Campbell\'s class. The other is also signed by a Taylor though I can\'t make out the first name. The one from Robert Taylor contains his writing and lists the \"best looking\" and other categories that only kids of that age would think of. Both photographs were taken by the Heeren Photo Company of Chicago.McCosh School is where Emmett Till attended. He was brutally murdered less than two years before these class photographs were taken. McCosh School is now the Emmett Till Academy.
