You may notice that the cost of shipping seems higher than usual. Unfortunately, postage rates & package material costs have increased, and as much as we hate to do so, we need to help offset these costs by increasing the shipping costs on our sales. Even with these increases, we still DO NOT profit from shipping. As always, we will take pride in properly and professionally packing every irreplaceable item we sell with brand-new packing materials. We will continue to value our customer's satisfaction above anything else and run our business with integrity and transparency. Because we list our items with , we are unable to, and will not, hide shipping fees, unlike many other sellers. Please read the details below to understand exactly what fees and costs are expected when offerding on our sales! 

This item is figured for a ( 39x5x18     6 lbs) box and ships from the 02864 zip code. (please feel free to compare rates on UPS & PO websites.) The quoted cost includes a modest handling fee to help offset the postage cost and brand-new shipping materials. We fully insure every irreplaceable item we ship, and an additional fee will be added at check-out based on the final value of the sale. We also require signatures on all items valued at over $250, which is an additional $6 fee. As stated above, we DO NOT profit from shipping costs; however, we DO take extra care in properly & professionally packing every item! We appreciate your understanding and will happily answer any questions you may have!

...... Thank you for your interest in our 1958 Houshang Pezeshknia Painting #386931763263. As you most likely know, this is a very important work of art; although we always have faith in that our art and antiques will reach their true value, we feel this work has not reached the value it should on one of the final days. Our consignor is very worried it is going to sell for a fraction of its value. The issue is that this painting (and all of our sale items) is not seen on Google and other searchable venues; does not promote sales, on Google, etc, only Buy-it-nows and items with fixed prices. So, for the first time in 25 years, we have decided to cancel the sale, and we will then relist it with a BIN price that accepts offers. This will ensure that even when someone searches off the platform, they will find this Rare and important Pezeshknia Painting. We have to do what is right by our consignor and make sure this rare painting brings its true value. As our business has grown, we have been receiving more expensive and important items and works of art on consignment. We contemplated putting a reserve, but this doesn't improve the search aspect of 's platform. This painting is a trial to see if this BIN method helps the item's visibility and brings in more potential interest. They often employed local photographers, filmmakers, and artists from the area and called on their knowledge of the landscape, language, culture, and history. In 1948, the Iranian artist Houshang Pezeshknia (1917-1972) was hired by the Oil Industry to provide the world with a unique perspective on how petromodernity was experienced and understood by the natives of his country. He came to Abadan in 1948 and stayed there for 10 years. During this time, Pezeshknia produced what are considered his most brilliant works.

…… Our consignor purchased this authentic 1958 Houshang Pezeshknia Gouache Painting from an estate in New Hampshire. The estate belonged to a gentleman who worked in the Middle Eastern Oil Industry during the 1950s, which is where this painting was originally purchased. Measuring 12” by 32 ¼”, this authentic Gouache Painting is executed on paper, which was then mounted onto a Masonite panel. When researching the artist, we found that he was known for painting on mounted paper. This authentic Houshang Prezeshknia Painting depicts an expressionist composition of a group of Iranian Oil Workers. The artist signed and dated the lower left-hand corner, “H. Pezeshknia 1958,” which means this painting was executed in his last year in Abadan. ... There are some minor edges and corner nicks to the paper, as well as a repaired tear to the left-hand edge, which you will see in our close-up photographs. ... Despite the high value of this artist’s work, this fresh to the market, 1958 Houshang Pezeshknia Gouache Painting has been listed without a reserve!

UPS is also using a new billing structure which calculates the cost of shipping using Dimensional weight instead of the actual weight of the package. More information about this change can be found on UPS’s website and if you see an increase in the shipping calculator, this is why.

If you find that there is a discrepancy between 's estimate and your invoiced shipping cost, we apologize. We are currently working closely with to have the calculator provide accurate costs. In the meantime, we are manually and accurately adjusting each invoice after the close of the sale. We assure you that we do not make money on shipping! We also assure you that we properly and professionally pack every item as well as fully insure each package. At the end of each day, any buyer who has paid $5 or more over actual shipping costs, will receive a refund!

Payments:

Payment must be received within 5 days of receiving an invoice. If payment, or contact from the buyer, isn't received within 5 days, an dispute will be opened. This dispute will be closed within 4 days after being opened and the item will be re-listed.  If you have a problem, please call us and we will help you solve it. 

If you do not want your item shipped immediately (within 24hrs) please get in contact with us before paying! Our standard method of shipping is UPS ground however, if you prefer USPS this is also an option. Any item that sells for over $250 must be sent with signature required and if you choose USPS, it will be shipped via express mail.

International buyers:  Please be aware that you may incur a brokerage and/or customs fee upon delivery. Winning buyer is responsible for shipping & customs charges and we WILL NOT LIE on customs forms. This is illegal and is against ’s policies.
