Ambrotype 1/4 Plate Tinted Union Case Shield Patriotic Man McQuaid Provenance For Sale

We believe this is a quarter plate ambrotype of a patriotic gentleman. We are not experts, but we did our best to piece together what details were available! This member of the McQuaid family (see tape on lacquer) has piercing eyes and slight tinting at the cheeks and lips. The ambrotype is surrounded by a gold gilt matte with patriotic union shields at each corner. In fair condition--the lacquer has some flaking, and the piece of tape with the family provenance was, unfortunately, stuck right on it. Priced accordingly! Please see photos for more detail.
