Antique British Regency Copper Teapot For Sale

What can we say about this exquisite antique copper teapot? It was handmade likely after the 1850s during the Regency period since it has a crude "X" marking on the bottom. Prior to 1850 there were no markings. It has a rolled handle, goose neck spout and acorn finial, which you see on teapots of this age. It appears that the handles are made from brass, probably for strength. You can see dovetailed seams under the spout and on the side.Think of the conversations held over tea made from this pot, before electricity, during the bread riots and "The Devil's Footprints," mysteriously hoof-like marks that appeared 100 miles in the snow in around Devon. We have not tried to "polish" it as the history would be lost. Localpick-ups okay.
