Antique Porcelain DRESSER TRAY with Flow Blue Roses Border and a Courting Couple Scene Center, Hand Painted.Made in France, ca. 1891-1896, according to the red mark Elite Limoges France on verso.
Very good condition, free of chips, cracks, scratches or repairs, with wear to the gold as shown in pictures. Beautiful glossy porcelain, with gently embossed and scalloped rim. The tray features a rare design with flow blue roses framing a hand painted and accented with fine enamel strokes Watteau style courting couple scene in the center. There is a small either flower mark or letter D in cursive on the underside of the rim, probably an artist mark. The gold trim enhances the roses and the edges of the rim.Approximate measurements: 12 inches long by 8 inches wide and 1 inch tall.
