Antique c.1903 Theodore Haviland Sugar Bowl & Creamer with Pink Forget-Me-Nots For Sale

What a lovely set of porcelain Creamer and Sugar Bowl with Lid made in Limoges France by Theodore Haviland. This set is Victorian in design, with gold accents and scattered sprigs of mostly pink, but a few yellow forget-me-nots. I noticed that there are some differences between the creamer and the sugar bowl. The gold leaves are painted differently on the two, and the imprinted design in the porcelain of the creamer is not as defined as it is on the sugar bowl. But they definitely coordinate and I only noticed because of staring at them for a while!

They both have the red decorator backstamp of Theodore Haviland, with Theodore underlined, which was used starting in 1904 into the mid 1920’s (from Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges, 3rd Ed, page 180).

The sugar bowl and creamer are really decorated so beautifully. Perfect for having a special coffee or tea to start your day or enjoy or with a friend. And then display the set because they are antique Haviland!

The set is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, stains or crazing. There is little if any wear to the gold trim and accents, at least I didn’t see any. On the inside rim of the lid there is a slight dip in the rim, but there is glaze on it, so that is a small manufacturing flaw.

The sugar bowl is 4 & 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid, is about 4 & 1/2 inches wide at the base, and holds 1 & 3/4 cups. The creamer is about 5 & 1/4 inches tall where the spout is highest, holds 1 cup to the very top, so a bit less than a cup, and is 4 inches long from tip of spout to outer handle. The set weighs about a pound.
