Antique very early Groma N typewriter in good condition. Pls check the pictures carefully - there is a small crack in the front and right site which has been repaired! Typewriter is working well!The Groma Modell N was designed by Leopold Ferdinand Pascher. Pascher worked for Torpedo in Frankfurt, Bing in Nuremberg, Orga-Privat, Triumph and Stoewer (where his portable became the Rheinmetall KsT) and was one of Germany's most prolific and brilliant typewriter designers between the world wars. The patently solid yet compact mechanical designs of the Rheinmetall KsT and Groma Model N show similarities and are the hallmarks of Pascher's work on portable typewriters. The Groma N is an elegant, durable typewriter with good writing properties.
A new black ribbon is coming with and the typewriter is ready for action. The typewriter can be removed from its base. The case has a sturdy handle.
Overall condition is good and the Groma Model N also operates very well. There are signs of wear of course. The case holder has been repaired, it is not the original one.
Based on the serial nr. 200522, this one is from 1938 which is a very early Groma N model - the ser.nr for Groma N started by 200000!
The machine has been cleaned and serviced and is in good, functional vintage condition with signs of wear of its age. The black paint is in good condition. It has a german keyboard layout.
