An original broadside General Order by General John Brooks at HQ Boston, Jan 29, 1816 orders an assembly of General Nathaniel Austin & officers at Mrs Smith's Inn, Dedham, Norfolk County, to try William Dunbar, Aide de Camp to General Elijah Crane, for, unmilitary conduct and behaving himself in an unmilitary manner". 1p 8 x 11' ptd. General John Brooks was a Revolutionary War & Shay's Rebellion officer of repute and Massachusetts Adjutant General during the War of 1812.
