2&Blade Making process:The balde was made of folded Damascus steel in Maru structure smelted and pounded to fold 13 times to creat 8192 layers,Not only can remove the remain impurities of the carbon steel and better distribute the carbon to form the blank,But also allow the layers to bend at rates,it was Fully hand forged,hand shaping,hand polishing in the most traditional method of sword making.
3&The blade was well heat treating (Refining) and quenching(Tempering) greatly improve the hardness and flexibility of the balde for real use.
4&Bo-hi (blood groove) is added to each side of the blade,lighten the blade ,also balance it to achieve optimal performance. (No HI will be good for heavy cutting,If do not want the Bo-Hi, contact us to customize for you).
5&The blade comes with a full length Tang greatly enhances the strength of the sword while swung and it will be signed according to your requirements.(pls contact us through message if you want to sign the DATE or NAME on the Tang)
6&The blade has been Fully hand polished with more than 15 process hand sharpening work in the most traditional Japanese craftmanship way. The balde have been processed to be BLACK color,it will not fade,also,it helps reduce rusts and looks nicer.It is strong enough for the bamboo cutting.
7&Tsuka(Sword handle):The Tsuka is made of high quality wood wrapped with genuine ray skin(Samegawa), and tightly tied with real silk ITO.Two Mekugi (peg) was nailed to secure the full tang of the sword,the sword can be disassembled by picking up the two Mekugi (peg).
8&Tsuba sets(sword Guard):The Tsuba (guard), Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) are made of high quality brass with exquisite workmanship and fine elaboration.The tsuba is Secured by Two Copper Seppas (Spacer),The Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) are made well match the tsuka for a good balance.
9&Habaki&Seppa:The habaki(blade collar) and the seppas (Spacer) are made of high quality brass
10&Saya(Sword Scabbard):The saya is made by dry wood with ox horn and put them through hacking,slotting,gluing,polishing and shaping treatment,and design proper degree of tightness for the sword blade to enter and out.
NOTE:
(1) A silk sword bag comes with the sword. but the wooden stand in below item pictures is NOT included.

(3) This Katana can be taken apart fully anytime for maintenance purposes, you can disassemble the sword from the handle by taking out two pegs.
