HERGE FIRST PUBLISHED TINTIN AS A STRIP IN THE BELGIAN NEWSPAPER LE SOIR.In this joined endeavor between Le Soir & Casterman, 7 of Tintin's bestselling adventures, printed in a small format but in full colors were placed in a display unit and sold by the piece in newsstands selling Le Soir. At 4.1 euro a piece, these were true bargains and mothers would often buy the set of seven for their children. Very few of the books are still in circulation, and virtually NO display case. This one comes to you completely unmolested, containing books that have never been read.
Le Journal Belge Le Soir, où Hergé avait à l'origine, fait paraitre les aventures de Tintin, se mit en cheville avec Casterman (et Moulinsart) pour publier, en format spécial et sur présentoir de luxe, 7 des aventures de Tintin (Le Lotus Bleu, Le Secret de La Licorne, Le Crabe aux Pinces d'Or, Le Sceptre d'Ottokar, Les Cigares du Pharaon, Tintin au Pays de L'Or Noir, Le Trésor de Rackham Le Rouge). Ce fut un grand succés, mais les buralistes et libraires virent leur stock épuisé en quelques semaines.Il ne reste que très peu de livres, et sans doute que de très rares présentoirs (et dans quel état).
