Rodgers had a brief run of mainstream popularity in the1950s and 1960s with a string of crossover singles that ranked highly on theBillboard Pop Singles, Hot Country and Western Sides and Hot Rhythm and BluesSides charts; in the 1960s, Rodgers had more modest successes with adult contemporarymusic.
He is not related to the earlier country singer Jimmie C. Rodgers, whocoincidentally died the same year the younger Rodgers was born. Among countryaudiences, the younger Rodgers is often known as Jimmie F. Rodgers todifferentiate the two.
Rodgers was taught music by his mother, learned to play the piano and guitar,and joined a band called "The Melodies" started by violinist PhilClark, while he served in the United StatesAir Force in Korea.
Like a number of other entertainers of the era, he was one of the contestantson Arthur Godfrey's talent show on the radio. When Hugo Peretti and LuigiCreatore left RCA Victor for Morris Levy's company, Roulette Records, theybecame aware of Rodgers' talent and signed him up.
In the summer of 1957, he recorded a song called "Honeycomb", whichhad been recorded by Bob Merrill and Georgie Shaw three years earlier. The tunewas Rodgers' biggest hit, staying on the top of the charts for four weeks. Itsold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the RIAA.Thefollowing year, he had a number of other hits that reached the Top 10 on thecharts: "Kisses Sweeter than Wine", "Oh-Oh, I'm Falling in LoveAgain", "Secretly", and "Are You Really Mine". Otherhits include "Bo Diddley", "Bimbombey", "Ring-a-ling-a-lario","Tucumcari," "Tender Love and Care (T.L.C)", and a versionof Waltzing Matilda as a film tie-in with the apocalyptic movie On the Beach.
In the United Kingdom, "Honeycomb" reached number 30 in the UK Singles Chart inNovember 1957, but "Kisses Sweeter than Wine" climbed to number 7 thefollowing month.[2] Both "Kisses Sweeter than Wine" and "Oh-Oh,I'm Falling in Love Again" were million sellers.WIKIPEDIA

VG-Fine:
In slightly more used condition than fine, but still very presentable.
Very Good:
May have some fold separation, border staining or small tears, but the image is still relatively clean.
Good:
Slightly below average used condition.
Can use restoration but is still fairly presentable

Fair/Poor:
Needs restoration.In general very worn
Read carefully the paticular condition of each poster with this calification
