Well THIS is the lil sister to Design Adalia...the larger version of these lil stargazers...If I close my eyes...my biggest fantasy is being able to time travel back to 1937 to Main Street...in any part of the USA...but most essentially Miami...New York...Chicago...and Los Angeles were a bedrock for some of the most fantastic patterns of barkcloth...some patterns not sold by catalog as that was just too ordinary...rather for the aristocrats with loaded wallets who would appreciate the beauty and pomp and circumstance of artistry gaining attention at the time by the fame of huge floral ambitions made popular by the likes of mrs. Dorothy Draper and the likes...inspiring a world where the home boasts larger than life botanical florals as if picked from a Hollywood garden and placed atop a textured barkcloth. if I could only take a gummy and go back to some swank fabric shop with ladies in pull box hats and satin dresses and patten leather pocket books to touch the bolts of this precious stuff that would become my world...my vision...my home...and my life. It is after all a lifetime me of rumination and obsession...I must be the most deserving to time travel to the land of stargazer lilies cascading in flight.
This offering is for ONE unused unwashed remnant enough for a nice sized pillow...I have two available being sold individually. Each measures . A airy dove gray barkcloth textured cotton...rich merlot purples...bubble gum pink...lavender orchid...deepest darkest and creamy chocolates...chartreuse and lemon yellows...deepest darkest sophisticated teal...flanked by robins egg blue and AQUA...the color AQUA you'd find in a Miami Beach POOL...with creamy charcoal and white accents. Measures 24 inches wide...21 inches long. The design is called 'Design Mavis A Puritan Vat Print" and is signed gloriously.
