Pacific NW Native American Carved Wood Statue Bust Signed Jack Moore 89' 14" For Sale

Today we're offering a wonderful wood carving of a Native American man, perhaps a chief or medicine man. It appears to be made from a burl - what kind of wood we do not know. It is signed by the artist "Jack Moore 89' " in pencil on the back and also carved onto the front edge (see pics). We don't find information on the artist but the name is mentioned in a couple of articles about wood carvers along the Skagit in WA state.This carving belongs to the Doran family of N.W. Washington who spent years assembling a (primarily) NW Native American collection. Along with Indian baskets, there are carvings, bead-work and various other artifacts that make up this wonderful collection. It is our privilege to be able to offer this collection to you on their behalf. So please save us to your favorite sellers list so that you'll be notified as we add new listings. It measures 14" tall by 7" wide. It can stand, or hang as there is a hole in the back.
