Himalayan Quartz - From Himalaya Mountains that borders China and India.
The Himalayan Quartz variety comes with a spectrum: garden "chlorite" quartz, smoky quartz, clear quartz, and the pink "samadhi" quartz (containing phosphate and aluminum). Himalayan Quartz is considered to be a very ancient variety of quartz mined from some of the tallest peaks on planet Earth. The nature of the terrain makes hand-mining the only possibility and requires the miners to transport the harvest back and forth to the nearest town, 7-day journey each way.
Metaphysically speaking, Himalayan Quarts is at the top of the quartz frequency spectrum. The origin of these crystals is of the the tallest mountains in the world. Himalayan quartz, therefore, offers an extremely high vibration to work with in meditation and more advanced inner work such as accessing past life information and assisting with the process of deep channeling, especially in group situations.
