Corpsman Assault System (CAS)-The Corpsman Assault System (CAS) is a suite of load bearing equipment that is designed specifically for the needs of the Navy Corpsman that deploys with Marine Rifle Squads or Weapons Companies. Custom load bearing equipment for Corpsmen allows them to more efficiently and effectively operate. This system is issued to Corpsmen in addition to the new USMC pack system to provide additional mission based flexibility for users.
This is the third generation of the Corpsman Assault System engineered to be lighter than previous generations through the use of laser-cut laminate. Additionally, the Gen III system is optimized for OTB (Over The Beach) operations by making use of water repellant material and mesh pouches in order to shed water, reducing retained weight and decreasing drying time.
