Rare 1907, N.C. Wyeth Art In the form of a "Cream of Wheat" Advertisement. Art piece is titled, "Alaska". Depicts man standing at back of dog sled, swinging the butt of his rifle at a pack of snarling wolves that are chasing him and his dogs. A case of Cream of Wheat is tied in with the other cargo stashed on his sled. No doubt a popular marketing ploy for advertisers to appeal to people's sense of adventure back in the early 1900's. Framed with double matting. Nice piece of old advertising by one of our finest illustrators.
