Stunningly beautiful and large boulder opal from the mining fields of Quilpie or Winton, Queensland, Australia! It displays the classic boulder opal shimmering blues and greens in glassy coatings on the characteristic ironstone. This is a large cabinet sized slab with opal on both of the large faces and also some on the sides! I have been collecting for 9 years and have never seen as large a boulder opal as this beauty offered for sale! I hesitated offering this absolute gem of an opal as it has long been a favorite of mine. You will never, I am sure, see another boulder opal of this size and beauty!
