Vintage C.E., U.S. Army Map Reading Aerial Photo Mirror Stereoscope MS-1 Survey

Pre-owned in great condition with normal wear & tear.

C.E., U.S. Army Stereoscope Model MS-1 Arial

Map Magnifier with case.This is a vintage WWII magnifying mirror

stereoscope for aerial photo viewing. U.S. Army mirror stereoscope with wood box

which was used to analyze stereo pairs of aerial photographs. The scope

has 2 large first surface mirrors mounted at angles on each wing with

either small mirrors or prisms in the eyepieces. It has folding legs

with one being adjustable. There 2 covers for the large mirrors that

snap over them.

The viewer comes in a fitted wood box. 2 of the thin long pieces with sponge rubber on them. The stereoscope comes with the

original army green painted dovetailed wooded case and has protective

felt padded supports inside. Lettering on the box says- C.E., U.S. Army and the label on the scope says the same plus-Manufactured By: Q-O-S Corp., New York N.Y
